  • Our nursing services includes 24 hour nursing care;
  • We have a Sick Bay, known as the “Acute Unit” for intensive nursing, should a resident require physical or psychiatric care;
  • We liaise with Primary Health Care Clinics for minor physical care;
  • Our residents remain in contact with our Community Psychiatric Services for regular psychiatric assessments and a Psychiatric Sister visits our Centre on a weekly basis for repeats of medication and follow up visits;
  • All medication is given as per Doctor’s prescription three or four times a day;
  • Our organisation does not discriminate against HIV Positive people who are in need of psychiatric care, even if they have progressed to the point where they suffer from AIDS itself.  Many people with such a diagnosis battle to come to terms with this illness and may develop secondary psychiatric symptoms, such as Reactive Depression, anxiety fear of death or may already have been suffering from some or other chronic psychiatric illness by the time that they are diagnosed with HIV or AIDS.  Treatment programmes have been developed for such patients in order to cater for their special needs.
